5km up we slept on hardwood with 200 other hikers. The lodge had a field kitchen filled with the smells of Korean soup and barbecue. A group invited us for dinner offering up their hot noodle soup, homemade kimchi, and soju to warm the soul. The next morning, while cooking breakfast, one of our neighbors gave us some delicious Korean pancakes.
